Emerging technologies are changing how groundwater policy decisions are made, by expanding monitoring and communications. The science-policy interface is facilitated by these technologies but also remains a primarily political dynamic, underscoring the importance of communication and public understanding. The public should be better educated on groundwater management and related matters to enable more equitable facilitation of science-based policies.
