Deconstructing masculinity in water governance (Water International)

Through the proverbial emperor’s clothes of the ‘smart’ label, technocratic rationalism is poised to reproduce itself within the liminal state of epistemic transition – it will promise novelty while delivering only repackaged dross. Feminist theory can intervene by exposing and deposing the masculinist epistemic of command and control, and by proposing a bold vision for how transcendent understandings about public policy can emerge.
