India’s Overlooked Crisis of Malnutrition (The Diplomat)

Environmental pathologies such as air and water pollution threaten India’s public health, and food security is a looming concern. A widening wealth gap provides little hope that the poor, already vulnerable to the above, can survive India’s coming era of hyper-urbanization, rapid industrialization, and population growth. Leaders must not lay health challenges at the feet of culture, but confront them with sober regard for facts and with realistic, actionable policy solutions.
